Fittings are essential components in construction pipe systems, serving to connect, redirect, control, and manage the flow of fluids or gases within a pipeline. There are various types of fittings used in construction pipe, each serving a specific purpose.

Here’s an overview of several common types of fittings used in pipelines:

Elbow

Elbows serve to alter the flow direction within a pipeline, typically at angles of 90 degrees or 45 degrees. They are available in various configurations, including long radius (standard) and short radius, tailored to specific applications and spatial constraints.

Tee

Tees facilitate the creation of branch connections within a pipeline, enabling flow in two directions perpendicular to the main line. They are offered in equal tee and reducing tee variations, depending on whether the branch outlet size matches or is smaller than the mainline size.

Reducer

Reducers facilitate the connection of pipes with differing diameters, ensuring a seamless transition between sizes while preserving the flow rate. They are provided in concentric and eccentric configurations, contingent upon whether the centerlines of the pipes are aligned or offset.

Coupling

Couplings are utilized to unite two pipes of identical sizes, furnishing a leak-proof connection. Available in assorted types such as slip-on or snap-on, their selection is based on the installation technique and pipe material.

Cross

Cross fittings resemble tees but feature four outlets arranged perpendicular to the mainline, permitting flow in three directions. They find application in scenarios necessitating multiple branch connections.

Cap

Caps are employed to seal the termination point of a pipe, ensuring a secure closure. Commonly used for temporary closures, testing, or maintenance purposes, they provide effective containment.
